I was waiting for the Gurdas Mann nite since quite sometime......Gurdas Mann is truly a legend ..... The most remarkable thing about Gurdas Mann is that his impact cuts across ages...youngsters, adults,senior citizens.....he is loved by all......the most peculiar thing about him is that his songs r not just about...kurri-munda,aashiquee,kurti,pyar..... as almost all other singers sing songs which appeal only to youngsters..... Gurdas Mann has so much to discuss....which is absolutely amazing.....but i think age is catching up with him...he is on the wrong side of 50 since quite some time.....and it shows in his live performances.....
Somehow I have never heard anybody saying anything wrong about Gurdas Mann....and whatever i have heard of him i think he is a gem of a person... Yesterday's show was organised by the student council at PU and probably they wanted to oblige as many people as they could. So they issued the VIP passes in thousands as a result there were more people in the VIP enclosure than there were in the general category......most of the guys were rowdy and drunk and some of them had minor scuffles...... For once i thought i would sit back and enjoy the show but that was not to be...coz everybdy else was more interested in dancing....The various individuals in the organising team wanted to hog all the limelight and they made their way to the stage at every instant possible....that was surely depressing to see...otherwise the show was nice.....

Well well!!! Its nice to know you like people who ACTUALLY have talent unlike some people who you had mentioned about recently. Gurdas Mann is amazing without a doubt but its not fair to say that only his songs cover different aspects.Many other singers in punjab nowdays are making their mark, e.g. Manmohan Waris.
One thing is for definite...yes age is showing on him... maybe its about time he'l realise and leave the hero roles for young crowd.Acting a college graduate (Des hoya pardes) when he blatantly looks 48+ is just far fatching the audience's imagination.
As for people grabbing lime light....what did u expect.I mean the fact they got Gurdas Mann to come that would have got their brain on 10th cloud. Also, you really define that doctors are boring....how could you go to Gurdas Mann concert and expect to watch the show sitting quietly....I mean its Gurdas Mann for heanven's sake not a gazal singer who'l drag one gazal for the whole length of the show.

AGE DOES NOT MATTTER AT ALL. HE IS GEM OF PUNJAB. ALTHOGH HE IS AROUND 48, BUT STILL CAN DANCE BETTER THAN YOUNG SINGERS AND HAS BETTER STAMINA.
