a sign of changing times......

two recent statements..one by the prime minister and the other by leader of opposition shows us how circumstances have changed in 21st entury. Few weeks back Advani had created an uproar by calling Jinnah as secular...though he barely managed to stick on to the post of leader of opposition but it showed that being secular was the "in thing" in today's changed circumstances......A communal leader like Advani realised that rattling about ayodhya and ram mandir was not good enough to get him votes and he had to appeal to a wider section so he thought about suddenly turning secular.... Last week Manmohan Singh on his visit to Oxford University ,England said that the rule by the Britishers over India was a "good" thing shocked many....I mean for 50 yrs we have been cribbing about how difficult itz been for india to come out of the shadow of britishers ...and how glad v r that v r independent and then all of a sudden Prime Minister of india says that British rule has actually helped india!!! and that too a Prime Minister of a Congress led government which was at the forefront of the independence struggle...surely the times have changed.....all the popular notions which we were made to believe have been turned on their head!!! atleast the policy of our leaders is Love all...better than teaching us to hate each other....
