Dear Mausam,
We see them everywhere, in schools, in colleges, in clubs, more often on the road, driving like they own the road, without the slightest care for the lesser mortals in close vicinity. I am talking about the spoiled brats of rich and powerful. I got a chance to see them up close and personal during my college days(we had many of this breed at Tangori). These spolied brats have common traits
1. They think that they are the "King of the world".
2. They think that whatever they do is always right.
3. They think all the other people in the world are losers.
4. They think that with the power of money they can buy anything in this world.
5. They dont care a damn about any rule or regulation and feel proud whenever they break them.
6. They always belong to uncultured, uncivilised and idiotic families.
7. They pick up a fight at the slightest,or non-existent instigation.
The most these spoiled brats of our college could do was beat up a fellow student or something equivalent to this crime, maybe coz they were kid's of a village's sarpanch, distant relative of some ex-MLA, acquittance of some ex-parliamentarian. The situation gets worse for spoiled brats of serving MLAs, MPs and other high profile bureaucrats.
The earliest memory I have, of people from this league , is that of Gurkirat Singh, grandson of Beant Singh who was prime accused in the rape case of Katia, a french tourist, a good 15 years back i guess.Even before this case became public, the exploits of Gurkirat Singh on the streets of Chandigarh were all out in open. So it came as no surprise when Katia case happened.
Rupan Deol Bajaj's son Ranjit Bajaj didnt do his parent's reputation any good by his antics.
The scion of Nanda family became an overnight hate figure with that fateful BMW ride which killed 6 innocent people. Not being served a drink was enough provocation for Manu Sharma to shoot a bartender/model named Jessica Lal.Vikas Yadav has been a bigger criminal as he is involved in not one but 2 murder cases. These are some of the many instances of rich people's kids ruining the life of others.
They manage to get away with such heinous crimes is the most disheartening feature. The media is up in arms about the Jessica Lal murder case. But itz just the media hype which will die down in due course of time just like the fate of all such cases.
My heart goes out to Shyam Munshi who has become the target of all after the acquittal of Manu Sharma,Shyam Munshi was one of the witnesses in the case. People have been condemning Shyam Munshi for his unmanly behaviour by turning hostile in court. Imagine there were 100 witnesses to the murder of Jessica Lal and Shyam Munshi was the 1 of 3 who registered the FIR. What were the other 97 people doing?? who turned a blank eye from day 1 itself. Atleast the poor fellow had the guts to stand for the truth till some years(The Jessica Lal murder case languished in court for 7 long years). Itz very easy to comment and ridicule all that Shyam Munshi did, but to actually be in his shoes and then react to the whole situation would have been so very difficult.
Regards,
Ajj Kaim

....in any case had it not been for Manu Sharma...his father would have been MP frm Chandigarh...& maybe a Minister at the Center
It reminds me of the corruption!!one of the major problem India is facing. You think of any case you will find somewhere these big beaurocrats involed in- misusing their powers!!.It is really very sad and disheartening to find the increasing rape cases-particularly in Delhi-mostly commited by these spoiled brats.and in the end -i have hardly see any justice being given to the victims right in time!!
Only the youth of India can do justice to Manu Sharmas and Nandas . . . govt. cannot and will not. Expose them to the public, shun their places.
