the whole buzz abt the budget...

TV reporting in the last few dayz has centered around the budget.......everybdy was expecting that everything thatz wrong with India would b set right by the team of Manmohan Sigh and P. Chidambram.....all of the troubles of the BPL would b taken care by the dream team of these gentlemen...but did the budget really lived upto itz expectation...??? I didnt understand most of the technical stuff that was in the newspapers regarding the budget..nor could I really figure out as to all the details that the learned men wdiscussing on TV...but one thing that I remember was that Mr. Chidambram in his speech said that he is just a finance minister and can only provide the money.....he cannot make sure that things will change actually at the ground level......coz thatz the stuff which can only b taken care by the concerned deptt. and other deptt r headed by ppl like Pranab Mukherjee Sharad Pawar Shivraj Patil Arjun Singh.......the point is.....how do these men perform!!!! meanwhile the budget in punjab assembly was passed in 5 mins....Mr Lal Singh the punjab finance minister had neither proposed new taxes nor announced any concessions...he said the deficit was over 500 crores...and all changes would b made by the chief minister in consultations with other ministers.......!!!! Mere Punjab daa kee banugaa.....
