Ssa Mausam,
Mausam u know yesterday I , Amit, Shikhar(office buddies) went to a mall for lunch from office.We took the elevator in the mall as the food joint were on an upper floor.There was a well-dressed gentleman already in the lift along with the lift operator.We were heading for the 3rd floor and on the 2nd floor the lift opened and a sardar boy asked the lift operator if the lift was going to the ground floor. He didnt enter the lift as lift was going up and he wanted to go on the down floors.
The gentleman standing behind commented in a defamatory tone that"Sardar ko patah nahi button kaunsa dabaana hai".
I hear Sardar jokes all the time and I have a good laugh about those jokes too,but its always in good humour,not the way this guy was projecting.His comment was downright insulting.
We had reached our destination floor and about to get off the lift but the guy commented next "Sardar ne apna button dabaa liya". I just turned around and gave the guy a piece of my mind in punjabi without realising that maybe the guy wont understand a word but I was speaking from my heart.I think he did understood coz he looked stunned.
I am sure that guy will think twice before commenting on sardars.Mission Accomplished! :-)

This world is inhabited by all sorts of irrationalists. Dont waste your sweat and stamina on them. Brush them off.

That's what I would have done. I think it is the best to make other person realize the mistake he has committed.
