Find me his flaws…

Dear Mausam,
It took me a while thinking about a suitable line to start this entry because I wanted a grand introduction about a man, who is not only a perfect friend, perfect son, perfect brother, perfect businessman, perfect neighbor, perfect Boss but he is above all a perfect human-being. I am talking about my childhood buddy, Paras Kalra. He is one man who has redefined the meaning of the word friend. Such unshaken, committed and dedicated friend is not only difficult but impossible to find. He is rich, no doubt, but he is so down to earth that I sometimes consider myself unkind and brash to others. He helps people without expecting anything in return and he helps with such supreme dedication that I consider myself so much selfish when I compare myself to him.
I have known Paras since forever, ever since we been kids he has been a friend of mine. I am guilty of being unkind to him at times but that hasn’t changed his dedication to me. The most striking thing about Paras is that when he starts helping others then he is so helpful that there is no limit. He will win the hearts of people with not only his manners, clean heart but also his sweet talk. So often I have seen him help complete strangers, just like their real brother/sister will do.
Recently when Kachchu was critically ill and admitted to hospital then Paras was by his side at all times. I clearly remember the days when Paras used to stay overnight with Kachchu help him with his needs as Kachchu was completely paralyzed, and then Paras used to reach home at 8 in the morning, get ready and head for his shop. Stay there for a while and then help Punnu with various arrangements for his(Punnu’s) wedding and then come back to the shop. He used to go back to ludhiana to be with Kachchu again at 8 in the night!
Such dedication and sincerity for a friend is unheard of in these times. No amount of money can compensate for what Paras does to others. Paras you are a primary reason why I keep bragging that my greatest strength is the friends that I have.
While Paras was doing what a person is supposed to do for a friend I was busy living my life as normal as ever. Visiting Goa, watching movies, blogging, doing office work and just about everything which I used to do earlier. The only thing I did for my friend was a few tears, a few visits.
I have never met the Mother Teresas of this world, but I truly believe you deserve the highest accolades of humanity coz others pale in comparison.
Just knowing you has been a honor but come to think of it that you are also one of my dearest friend makes me feel so proud. Paras, other than your academic track record you have excelled in everything. I bow to you, my friend. You are an inspiration.
