It's Work From Home

Satshriakaal Mausam Kaur,

It has been almost 6 months since I have been working from home. And to me it's still the best thing ever! Granted it really depends on what job you are in, what exactly you have to do in your job and it depends on person to person but for some reason things have been great so far for me. I think God is compensating me for the crazy driving I have done in my previous role.
The big obvious positives are that the time saved on travel and money saved on gas. Since I don't have to sit in the car for hours I don't get tired as much by the end of the day. The energy that I have is much greater for weekends because I have been home all week! I can eat home cooked food for lunch as well and I can avoid eating junk food for most part. I always have the option of catching a power nap if I am really tired. I can work from any place I want, my home or my friend's place, a cafeteria etc.
There are a few negatives as well the biggest being that it is challenging to be disciplined when you work from home. In a way coz my job is more reactive it is relatively easier to discipline myself. The office social banter is also limited to conference calls only. Strangely, i feel guilty while working from home if I take a slightly long break, I realized it when the other day I went to the office and had over hour long lunch and I thought I am still at work (technically) and I was perfectly fine with it.
Overall I am in a happy work space mentally it's everything else that is convoluted. Anyways that is a topic of discussion for another day, until then, take care.
