watz in a name.....

some names attract instant attraction......I have been complimented several times for my name....Parwaz..some think that i am a muslim...some are simply intrigued by the name and want to know wat does it mean......i sometimes wonder how differently ppl would have reacted if my name was....say...jatinder! i know that eventually itz the individual who matters but an interesting name always gives u an early advantage...... Most of the names that v hear are run of the mill......and can be termed as standardised names...though v r used to them but some of them sound better than the others.....lemme try to classify a few...
-deep ----pardeep,mandeep,gurdeep,amandeep,sumandeep,damandeep
-inder ----jasvinder,manvinder,patvinder,ravinder,satvinder,balvinder
-preet ----manpreet,jaspreet,gurpreet,satpreet,sumanpreet,balpreet,samarpreet
-jeet ----jasjeet,manjeet,paramjeet,gurjeet,sukhjeet,baljeet,daljeet
-bir ----manbir,gurbir,sukhbir,jasbir,dalbir
Not that all the endings r similar but the starting of the names also have something in common..itz always about man- , jas- ,gur-, bal- . Some names r so popular that when somebody says "Rahul" v always think abt allthe other Rahuls that v know...same is the case with "Raj","Simran","Kiran","Jyoti","aman"
Not that all these names r bad...they r good...but they lack the element of originality........whichto some ppl is veryimportant....I was once wondering how many Rahuls would there be in india! considering that is atleast 1 rahul in every class in a school...1:50 u can well imagine number of Rahuls in a population of 1 billion......
Some of the names that i really like r Rene,Misha,P ushwaz,Nigaar,Antarpreet(though it ends with -preet)
Next time uhave a chance to suggest a name for someone..just try to be innovative....
