Learn to say no

Hey Mausam how are things with you? When will it stop raining in Boston dear, I am already tired of carrying the umbrella everywhere i go!
Does saying "No" comes easy to you? Since my growing up years I have been trying to learn the art of using this word but I hav'nt been successful as yet. Whenever I manage to say "NO!" then it always is accompanied by rudeness, bluntness, awkwardness and tactlessness. As a result the damage is excessive. How and when will I learn to be diplomatic. When will i stop being "too direct" while using this word.
I know that if you think somebody is gonna feel bad about you not agreeing with what they want you to do, then they sure will feel bad, but if you think in your mind that it is absolutely okay for you to say no, then others just wont feel bad! But why do'nt I ever implement this learning.
Do you i make any sense at all???Time to get on with the day...
Regards,
Ajj Kaim

.. Well, we get wiser each day but the saying of "No" or "Yes" is situational, it depends if your saying No to something will be the end of the matter or will it keep hounding u once you've said no.. and in case..you think its gonna be a latter case.. then may be you better rethink ur options..
On the other hand, certain situations are better if dealt with a polite No..instead of a rude No....well.. I can suggest..though never implemnted it.. count backwards to 10 before saying No/yes.. u get what I mean??..
C'mon get a life,.. these things happen all the time.. jo hua so hua..

paru, that's it. i'm writing a blog on this very topic as well. this question has been one of my favourite questions to ask everybody: do you find it hard to say no? hehe. hmmm. well, i find it hard too at times but i think i've gotten better over time. I usually say "no" in a way where they feel it has to do with only me and has nothing to do with them. here are some key things that i keep in mind when i might have to say know:
1)always be honest about why you can't agree to something ( no matter what. be honest.)
2) "hey that's a great idea, but unfortunately .....etc etc)

-it totally depends on the situation i guess...so i'd have to talk to u more about this... sorry i've missed ur calls..i was really busy this week. ok, lemme call you right now =D hope things are well.... why am not writing all this in an email? i don't know i guess i'm too lazy. haha.

and if i they are really pushing it... i usually say " hey listen, i'm gonna have to get back to you on this on... let me think about it" and then i do get back to them by then usually i cant come up with an excuse hee hee!

okay byeeeeee! hope you are well.
