Dear All,

We always wish that our job should be different from the regular repetitive clerical job. We always wish to do something adventurous, something interesting, something not attempted before. Though this is our dream but we forget about this the moment we step out of our dream into the real world. Once in the real world, the only thing we wish is a well paying job, helpful colleagues and enough time to relax.
My stay at One97 did all this and lot more (Okay there wasn’t much time to relax but I didn’t miss relaxing at all coz work was so much fun!)
How often one gets to work in a position where the only bottleneck for your success is you! You can either opt to be just another employee working in just another company, or you can be truly a master of your own destiny; achieve whatever you always longed for; work for 48 hrs in a DAY and don’t even blink an eye; Be so much involved in your work that you simply forget what day of the month it is; work for over 50 days without break(no Saturdays or Sundays) without even mentioning it; be working in the office for 3 days(72 hrs) just coz you want to finish off the work without taking a break; Go home after midnight and reach back in the office before sunrise!
This is the culture of One97, I have seen people do this all the time. Workaholic is too small a word for such people. One97 sets the bar, a level higher than where you set it for yourself.
My immediate Boss, Amit Sir is not only a gem of a person but has been an example to me as to how to behave with people. If I manage to master even half of his techniques of public behavior, people management then I foresee a comfortable job for myself post-MBA.
The Boss,Vijay Sir, has an aura which says ”This man is always right”, and he always is. He knows about everything and anything under the sun and is even good at all. Hey please help me count all of his virtues… coz there are so many that I will never finish counting!

One97 in a subtle way has helped me improve a lot. It gave me a chance to dabble into various things at various stages. Right from going to Meerut to manage servers, getting in touch with various music labels for Rights, traveling around Delhi for various Afghani content related issues and various other never-before experiences.

One97 managed to counter the spread of “It’s just another company” virus by axing inappropriate people at the appropriate time. I wish I could stay on here forever to continue see the company go from strength to strength. I wish One97 had an office in US!
